What Is A Mommy Makeover?
The mommy makeover is a completely personalized set of procedures designed to address the way in which your body has changed following pregnancy. Mommy makeovers can allow you to, once again, feel great about the shape of your body following pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding. Some moms choose to undergo the procedure soon after pregnancy, while others wait until their children are much older. We always suggest waiting until you are done having children before having these procedures to ensure that the results last as long as possible.
While completely customizable, the mommy makeover typically includes a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty), breast enhancement, and liposuction. We can add procedures or eliminate them based upon your needs. Abdominoplasty, or a tummy tuck, is designed to correct a protruding abdomen resulting from weak abdominal muscles, weight gain, or excess skin resulting from pregnancy. These conditions will not respond well to diet or exercise if the skin and underlying muscles have been stretched. Breast enhancement can be used to lift, reduce the size of, or augment the size of the breasts following weight change and breastfeeding. Liposuction can be performed as needed in your most troublesome problem areas.
What Happens Before A Mommy Makeover Surgery?
We will take a complete medical history and conduct a careful examination to evaluate your general overall health. Ideally, a patient seeking a mommy makeover is in good healthand wishes to correct signs of pregnancy and aging on the body. Patients on a weight-loss plan should be close to their target weight before having these operations. We do not recommend mommy makeovers as a substitute for post-partum weight loss. As mentioned above, women planning future pregnancies should delay the mommy makeover procedures.
What Is The Procedure For A Mommy Makeover?
There is no one procedure for a mommy makeover. Instead, you get to completely customize your treatment plan by selecting the procedure(s) which will be most beneficial to you. For most mothers, the lower belly in particular is a problem area due to the stretching that occurs with pregnancy. Other common problem areas associated with motherhood often include the breasts, due to fluctuating weight, hormones, and breastfeeding. The mommy makeover typically combines atummy tuck procedures with liposuction and breast enhancement for maximum results.
Patient Reviews
"I'm long overdue on this review, but if I could give more stars, I would. Dr. McGuire is my absolute favorite! I went into my procedure so afraid, uncertain, and with a TON of questions. I even came back for a second consult. She didn't act like I was annoying or a waste of time. She didn't try to sell me on anything. She listened to my concerns and needs and gave me her honest opinions. From scheduling to post-op, there was not one snag. She is punctual and extremely clear on what to expect every step of the way, to the hour, pretty much. She is so honest, which made me relax..." - Jessica C.
What Is The Recovery From A Mommy Makeover?

Once you have undergone the mommy makeover, we will keep track of your progress through a series of office visits during your recovery period.
