Perlane

Perlane is a deep soft tissue dermal filler in the form of a gel created from hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance located between skin cells that binds moisture and provides temporary fullness and volume.  It provides greater volume than Restylane or Juvederm Ultra, FDA approval was received in 2007 for the treatment of deeper creases and facial wrinkles, and is available in 1cc syringes.  It generally lasts longer than 6-8 months, and in some up to a year. Layering is an accepted technique to maintain a softer appearance, and may be combined with the use of Restylane and or Juvederm Ultra.  Areas of treatment include Nasolabial folds, mental areas, and deep marionette lines.  Injections are performed using a topical anesthetic, and take just a few minutes.  There is some downtime possible due to swelling and or bruising, and your injector will require a full evaluation prior to injection.
